Difference Between Industrial Vacuum Cleaner and Industrial Dust Collector

Industrial vacuum cleaners and industrial dust collectors are commonly used cleaning equipment in the factory production process. Many friends may have doubts about the difference between industrial vacuums and industrial dust collectors when choosing cleaning equipment.

Concept of Industrial Vacuum Cleaner and Industrial Dust Collector

Industrial vacuum cleaners generally refer to the vacuum cleaners we commonly use. An industrial vacuum for dust generally uses high-efficiency turbine vacuum pumps or high-speed turbine vacuum principle. This type of motor has a large vacuum and negative pressure but small air volume. Because this type of vacuum cleaner has a small airflow, it relies on negative pressure to suck in substances. Therefore, when vacuuming, the industrial vacuum cleaner machine needs to be close to the object being cleaned. Generally, this type of vacuum cleaner has a small size and is easy to move.

Industrial dust collectors, also known as industrial dust removers, generally use high-volume centrifugal fans. This type of industrial dust removal equipment generally has a large air volume and low vacuum. It is generally used as a dust collection system device in industrial production or can also be used as a single machine equipment. However, they are used to absorb a large amount of floating dust generated by cutting or grinding. The principle of dust collection is to suck away the dust by the speed of the wind. Therefore, the distance to clean relatively to the vacuum cleaner is longer, and the air volume is larger. The corresponding suction port and filtration area of the dust collector are also much larger than those of the vacuum cleaner.

Application Differences Between Industrial Vacuum Cleaner and Industrial Dust Collector

Industrial dust collectors are used for collecting and treating large amounts of floating and suspended dust with stable and reliable performance, small volume, good sealing performance, easy maintenance, and long service life. After PTFE film treatment, the filtration efficiency for dust above 0.3μm can reach more than 99%, and this filtration accuracy has a good effect on the removal of PM2.5. Industrial dust collector is suitable for steel, cement, furniture, ceramics, chemicals, construction, hardware, plastics, powder operations, cutting operations, grinding operations, sandblasting operations, organic glass processing operations, etc., where large amounts of dust are generated.

Industrial vacuum cleaner uses AC power, with a high power of 220V or 380V. Its working principle is to use the motor to drive the high-pressure fan to generate negative pressure within a limited volume, thereby generating suction. After the medium is sucked in, it is filtered through a filter bag or a filter cartridge for secondary filtration. Industrial vacuum cleaner is mainly used to collect and suck up waste medium particles, dust, smoke, oil, and water produced in the production, operation, and transportation process for industrial purposes. The ordinary vacuum can only absorb dry medium with a low water content, while the wet and dry vacuum can absorb oil, water, etc. produced during the processing process.
