Laser Notching & Winding : Dust Collection

In our latest video, we delve into the crucial steps of ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing processes in industries such as lithium-ion battery production, metal working, and 3D printing.

Before laser notching, it's essential to clean the electrode surface using rolling brushes to remove any particles. Laser notching, which creates tabs by vaporizing foil along the seam, generates significantly more dust compared to mechanical notching. This dust, primarily from copper and aluminum components, increases the risk of explosions.

To mitigate these risks, Villo has developed advanced solutions, including an inert powder feeder and a scrap compressor machine. The inert powder feeder neutralizes dust, preventing explosions, while the scrap compressor machine efficiently collects and compresses the substantial waste generated during the process.

Watch the video to see how Villo’s innovative dust control and explosion protection systems ensure safer and cleaner production environments.
