A passive mechanical in-duct isolation valve used in pipelines containing combustible dust. In the event of an explosion, the valve swiftly closes with a millisecond response speed, rapidly isolating the explosion. This prevents the propagation of dust explosions from downstream pipelines to upstream pipelines, effectively mitigating the risk of "secondary explosions" or "multiple explosions.
